NIOS conducts two types of exams to accommodate the needs and schedules of its students. They are

On Demand Exams

Public Exams are the standard examinations conducted by NIOS, typically held twice a year during the April-May and October-November cycles. These exams follow a fixed schedule and are available for both Secondary (10th) and Senior Secondary (12th) levels, as well as for some vocational courses.

Who is it for?

Students who are enrolled in NIOS's Secondary and Senior Secondary programs looking to achieve their 10th or 12th standard equivalency.

Learners who have opted for vocational courses through NIOS and are at the stage of completing their program.

Individuals seeking to improve their grades in previously attempted subjects

Registration Process

Exam Update: Check the official NIOS website for the exam registration notification, which usually opens a few months before the exam dates.

Online Registration: Use your NIOS online Student portal (Exams & Results > Examination > Pay Fee) to pay for your exam, fill in your registration details, select your subjects, and submit the required fee.

Document Submission: Upload necessary documents as specified, including identification and previous academic records.

Confirmation: After successful payment, ensure you receive a confirmation. Keep this for your records.
